"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to do that. I didn't do anything—" Before he could complete his sentence, Nix gripped him by the collar of his shirt, ready to kick him in the stomach with his knee, but they, however, went still when the door to the room suddenly pushed open.
They immediately glanced at the door, and their eyes met Everly's, who seemed to have woken up.
She halted, her green eyes gazing at them.
"What…are you two doing?" She asked in confusion, not sure why Nix was holding Vincent like he could beat him up anytime soon.
Nix flickered his eyes and glanced at Vincent.
He instantly let go of him, and Vincent cleared their throats.
