Valerio stood in his embrace, his blank eyes gazing at the wall, not sure what was happening.
At that moment, all he could remember was what his mother had once said to him.
His father doesn't hate him.
He loves him but simply doesn't show it.
His lashes flickered, unsure why he was suddenly recalling that now.
A deep breath fled his nose, and he shut his eyes. "Let go of me." He spoke.
Lucius blinked and stood still, not letting go.
Valerio waited for him to do so, but when he didn't, anger rose within him and he furiously pushed him away.
