Amidst the ride, Valerio glanced at Nix, whose expression didn't look good at all.
"Nix," he called him.
Nix looked at him. "What?" he asked.
"Are you still angry?" Valerio inquired.
"What does it look like?" Nix threw a question back to him.
A deep breath fled Valerio's nose, and a guilty expression appeared on his face.
"I am sorry. If I knew things would go differently, I wouldn't have asked you to." He apologized.
A heavy breath fled Nix's nose, and he parted his lips to talk, but he refrained from doing so when she felt Vincent grab his hand.
He lifted his eyes and glanced at him.
'It's okay." Vincent spoke to him in a very low voice, not wanting them to argue any further.
Nix stared at him and averted his gaze.
He snatched his hand from him and rested his head on the window, sort of exhausted.
