Nix pinched between his brows and turned to Valerio, whose eyes met his at the same time.
"I can explain," he said with an awkward expression.
Valerio shook his head at him, disappointed, and turned around to leave the library. Leia followed behind him with a bewildered look on her face.
They proceeded downstairs, and as they were about to leave the mansion, they bumped into Logan, who was walking in with his head lowered and a frown on his face.
"Hey! Watch where you are go—"
His sentence came to a stop the moment he glimpsed Leia and Valerio. A frown ensued on his face.
"What are you doing here?" Logan asked, clearly annoyed. The last time he recalled, Valerio had said that he would never set foot in the family house again. So what exactly was he doing there with Leia?
