The vampires looked at Mr. Lefron, and Mr. Lefron nodded at them, permitting them to carry on. They dashed off in unison and continued fighting Valerio.
Daphne, whose head was still resting on Nix's shoulder, opened her eyes. Her pupils widened in terror the second she glimpsed what was happening.
"Hey! Don't look." Nix immediately covered her eyes, preventing her from seeing any more of what was happening.
Valerio, on the other hand, no longer willing to waste his time with them, unleashed a flurry of devastating attacks on them, faltering their defense. In a matter of a few seconds, he slit all their throats, leaving his hands and nails bloody.
One by one, the vampires succumbed to his relentless assault and plummeted to the floor. Now, only Mr. Lefron himself was left.
