"Yes, Everly. I want you to sleep beside me." He spoke so fast that for a moment, Everly thought she didn't hear him correctly.
"W-why?" She inquired.
A deep breath fled Valerio's nose as he walked to sit down on the bed.
"I don't know Everly. Perhaps... because I want you to feel better." He replied with a distant look in his eyes.
"You know, I am not at all on good terms with my family. Well, basically, my brother and father. They have this hostility towards me that I still can't understand where it came from. I can't say I have ever done anything wrong to them, so... that's why I have a different surname from theirs."
"My father's surname is Lé Mort, which is what I should be answering, but they, um, cut me off, so I had to bear my mother's surname. Leia and I." He elucidated.
"May… ask who your mother is." Everly walked forward and sat down on the bed beside him.
