Valerio furiously darted his eyes around and parted his lips to say something, but having nothing to say or perhaps not knowing what to say as an answer, he went quiet.
"Valerio-" Nix tried to speak, but Valerio immediately cut him off and got up from the chair.
"I will be taking my leave now." Without waiting for a response from Nix, he made his way downstairs with the young maid following beside him.
Once Alex, who was obediently waiting for him, sighted him, he followed after him, and they strolled towards the car.
Alex started the car and drove out of the compound and onto the road.
"Master, is everything okay?" Noticing the gloomy look on Valerio's face, Alex inquired, but Valerio did not respond.
He kept silent, his head completely clouded with questions, doubts, and much more.
