Selena's POV
"Hello, Dad. I am sorry, I am late," I said after I kissed my dad's cheeks. As usual, he was waiting for me at his favorite spot on our veranda, looking at the ocean, even if it was a starless night.
"It is okay, my dear; I just finished cooking," he responded, then heavily coughed.
"Dad, I already told you I would bring you food; you don't need to cook," I said as I looked at him with a worried expression on my face.
"Sweetheart, I am still able," he responded.
"Dad, the doctor advised you to rest; you can't walk around the house. All you have to do is eat, relax, and sleep." I declared.
"Selena, don't worry too much, okay? I am fine, but I think someone from the hospital fabricated my test results." He said, and I let out a soft sigh.
"Dad, no one fabricated your lab results; we already talked about this," I replied.
