Selena's POV
A middle-aged woman wearing a maid's uniform opened the massive door for me.
"Hello, I am Selena. I am here for Salome," I said, trying to control my nervousness.
"Of course, you must be Selena; you looked a lot like her," she replied with a beautiful smile on her face.
"Please, follow me, dear," she added and led me to the garden with a beautiful landscape that stretched towards the seashore.
My mother was sitting on a rattan chair facing the ocean, sipping her coffee so calmly.
"Ma'am, Selena is here." The maid said, and she slowly got up from her seat and faced me.
"Good morning, Selena. I am happy you came," she greeted me with a smile, but I never smiled back at her.
"Please, have a seat," she said, and I sat across from her without saying anything. It seemed like my tongue had been glued inside my mouth.
"What do you want, coffee, juice or tea?" My mom asked.
