"Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday! Ha-ppy Birthday, Dear Selena!" A birthday song awakened me, and I stretched my limbs and smiled as I realized it was my most awaited day; I am finally an adult
I thought I was only dreaming, but when I heard many voices, I opened my heavy eyes and quickly hid under the bed cover of Sky's bed when I realized Stanley's friends and the participants of the cotilion dance were inside Sky's room. They are singing a birthday song with a different tune.
"Thank you, guys, but please, give me some time to fix myself," I said under the covers.
"You will still look beautiful, Selena, even if you just woke up," I heard Stan say, and they all agreed as they said yes in unison.
"Come on, birthday girl, blow out the candle of your cake before it disappears." I heard Kevin shout, and the girls giggled.
