Jasper entered the dining room. Despite having told Ella not to cook for him, he couldn't resist the impulse to taste the food she had cooked. His expression was much calmer than it had been earlier.
Ella was relieved to see that he was no longer angry with her, and she happily served him the food she had prepared. As he began to eat, she stood beside him, eagerly awaiting his response.
Jasper said nothing, but Ella was pleased to see him eat with fervor. He glanced up at her and said authoritatively, "Don't keep standing here. Sit down and eat."
Ella stiffened, her heart skipping a beat. 'Is he asking me to eat with him?' She hesitated, unsure if she had heard correctly.
When she didn't move from her place, Jasper looked up to see her bewildered expression. A frown crept on his brow.
"What are you doing still standing here? Aren't you hungry?" he snapped.
