Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5: HONEYDEW FARM

When Sarah returned to Belmore after a long absence, she purchased this property and had it completely renovated. The previous owner neglected the property, especially after it was struck by a strange disaster and became infertile.

They had been having bad luck for years and finally decided to sell the place. However, after a long period, no one was willing to purchase the property. Who would want to buy a house riddled with unknown curses?

Sarah was one of the irrational people who bought the place the moment she saw it. Everything about the farm was perfect, and living in the country will not be bad either.

And living so far away from the city will give her fewer opportunities to meet with people she doesn't want to see. People who will incite her rage and force her to do things that will blow things up.

Honeydew Farm includes not only the owner's massive mansion but also a mini village of ten houses.

The farm's servants primarily used these two-roomed houses, whether they are domestic workers or farm workers.

There is a dam that appears to be flourishing with a lot of fish in it; however, O'Neal was surprised to learn that this dam was dry a year ago for unknown reasons.

This dam provided additional water for the farm as well as food on occasion, as the fish were used for meals.

They used a large portion of the farm for agriculture, while the remainder was used for poultry and livestock rearing.

However, because she detested the noise of cows, she kept only a few cows for dairy purposes.

She didn't keep any pigs because she disliked having them so close to her. She did, however, keep a few goats and sheep alongside the dairy cows.

There were a lot of roadrunner chickens, broiler chickens, and off-layer chickens on the poultry side. The farm also had ducks, turkeys, and guinea fowl for sale.

And in another part of the farm, there was a building that O'Neal wasn't shown, but he was told that the building is a factory for her other business, which O'Neal believes Sarah will share with him as time passes.

The farm's water supply comes not only from the dam on the property but also from boreholes drilled and installed throughout the property.

Water was a problem for farms like Sarah's and others because the farm was so far from the city and the nearest town. Three villages were located near Honeydew Farm.

Sarah hired people from these three villages because it was much easier to hire people who lived nearby than foreigners from other places. And helping people who are much closer to her brings her even more benefits.

She was very close to the villagers, which was incredible for someone like her.

O'Neal was in awe as he explored the farm and saw the various workers working in their respective places.

It was August, and although it was not farming season, Honeydew farm was running at full capacity.

The container at the front of the farm, just a few meters away from the front gate, was another oddity on the entire property.

Sarah took O'Neal on a tour of the farm and took him to the front gate so he could see everything.

She didn't think the young man was useless; there was a reason he lasted two years in that hellhole despite being a boring person.

"So, this is the tuck shop that I decided to put here. As you can see, my farm is approximately 20 kilometers from Belmore and 10 kilometers from Taco, the nearest town nearby. The nearby villages don't have much that I'd want, so I figured, why not make it myself and not stress about it? And then I bought that container and placed it there. The company is doing well!" Sarah felt better as she talked about it.

"You are an exceptional woman, and I am very glad that I got to meet you," O'Neal said in his head as he listened.

O'Neal said this with sincerity, and Sarah simply smiled at him.

The tuck shop wasn't there to make a lot of money; it was there to help the villagers, as well as herself and her staff.

The tuck shop was more of a mini-mart because it offered a wide range of goods and services. And among the services offered at the tuck shop were airtime and e-wallet services for mobile networks and banks.

Some clever girls were working in the tuck shop, and O'Neal could see how happy and sincere they were with Sarah.

After showing O'Neal around, Sarah took him back to the mansion, where she showed him around until it was time for lunch.

The two ate their meal in the dining room, which consisted of rice and fish caught from the dam. The fish was incredibly fleshy and juicy. O'Neal hadn't had a meal like this in a long time.

Looking at Sarah, who is approximately 167cm tall, has light olive-toned skin, brown eyes, black eyes, and mid-waist length black hair, and weighs approximately 60kgs.

Living in a country and continent dominated by black people, being light-skinned was not unusual; after all, there were colored people everywhere, and those that bleached.

And Sarah was one of those people who she didn't seem to fit in with the countryside lifestyle at all, but she appeared to be at peace while at the farm. He was excited to find out more about her.

Sarah was eager to get down to business after showing O'Neal around and eating lunch. O'Neal, on the other hand, can do whatever he wants while she attends to some serious business.

Sarah left the mansion and took a mini vehicle from the garage to get to her destination, which was quite far away from the mansion.

Sarah drove this mini-vehicle to the factory building that O'Neal didn't get to see and was greeted by the busy servants who returned to their jobs as soon as she passed by.
