Cane felt this uncomfortable feeling when he was talking to Alpha James from the Bloody Wolf pack. The other three alphas had arrived and they only needed to wait for Alpha Andrian from the Diandem pack.
However, Cane couldn't concentrate on their conversation, though there was nothing important about it, since Alpha James only talked about how many women he had bedded during his journey here.
Most of the time, Cane couldn't understand why these nasty people could become the leaders of a lot of people when they acted as nothing more than animals. They didn't even have a shred of sense of leadership whatsoever, nor the compassion that was needed.
As the uncomfortable feeling wormed into his heart grew more unsettling, Cane cut short his conversation and went away to find Iris only to hear something had happened to her.
