"Why are you running away?" Aliana panted heavily, once they were out of the tavern.
"You are the one, who was running away," Ethan retorted.
It was not clear, who had suggested to run away in the first place the moment they saw the enraged alpha, they were mortified to see the killing intent in Cane's eyes, knowing they were at fault to take Iris to the tavern.
"Do you think Cane will kill us?" Ethan grimaced. He really didn't want to deal with Cane right now.
"There is a high possibility he will do that."
"You sound so optimist with your answer…"
It was already late at night, but this area had never been quiet, since all the warriors used to wind up here after their shifts were over.
"What is our chance?" Ethan contemplated. They couldn't avoid their alpha forever.
