By the time Cane approached Iris, she was with Lil Thing, thankfully alpha Nolan heed his warning and left her alone, at least for now, because it was easy to see that he would try again to find a way to talk with his mate.
"Is the bear dead?" Cane stared at the sleeping bear, this creature only lived to sleep, eat and play. Of course, he could tell the bear was sleeping, but one could wish, right?
"Cane, you are so mean," Iris complained, as she rubbed the spot where fur started to grow on Lil Thing's wounds. "Lil Thing has helped us a lot, be nice to it, okay."
The seven warriors watched the interaction between them and they couldn't help, but bewildered to see their alpha was actually being scolded.
On the other hand, Cane said nothing, he stared at the bear for a while and grabbed Iris's elbow to help her stood up. "Walk with me," he said.
