A few hours later….
"Why are we at the stables?" she inquired of Tiamat.
"I have reason to believe that you could use a little help in this area," he said. Then he nudged her, "so what are you waiting for?"
After such a scare last night he did not want Fiona hiding in her room, they had not found a body and even though he doubted the culprit was still alive.
Tiamat did not want her jumping at every shadow thinking someone was out to get her.
He figured this would be the perfect exercise to take her mind off it and learn something practical at the same time.
It felt like a herculean task to mount that horse, Fiona couldn't help but nervously chew on her lower lip as she stared at the huge chestnut mare standing in front of them.
At that moment she and the mare made eye contact while it chewed its cud with bits of hay hanging out from its jaw.
