That's when he saw the light reflecting off the eyes of the beast as it swam past them heading upstream in sight of delicious prey.
No longer walking at a leisurely pace, Tiamat started to run but there was no way he was going to reach there on foot before the water monster.
At first Gritzl was confused as to why Tiamat broke out into sweat until he stared incredulously at the humongous creature speeding towards the women.
"Cedella!" he shouted, Gritzl ran as fast as his two could muster.
He was still too banged up from the initiation test and still not learnt how to fully do the dragon transformation properly yet but Tiamat could.
"Tiamat, you have to transform and protect the women, there is no other way for them to survive," yelled Gritzl, his heart pounding in his chest and it felt like it was working overtime along with his brain to supply him with oxygen.
