Fiona was fitful, she hadn't been sleeping well at all since night.
She had tossed and turned in bed, got up, paced the floor a bit then returned to bed.
Her emotions were still all over the place from when Tiamat escorted her to the bedroom doorstep.
It seemed that every time she closed her eyes some insignificant sound kept waking her until out of desperation she took a pillow to cover her face.
Blocking out the tiniest of noises that kept her awake until she eventually succumbed to sleep.
So no wonder she was alerted when she heard clattering sounds as something rolled.
Fiona's eyes flew open.
The metallic chamber pot that Fiona had begged Glenda for had been knocked over. It was the only reason why she didn't have to go to the outhouse in the dark of night.
Glenda was her only female friend in Thornwyck and the only person Fiona allowed to come and go without knocking to her bedroom.
