"I kind of forgot about her but I guess you can say she was my paramour. I should have sent her a letter cutting all ties and perhaps given her a bauble or some form of goodbye gift but then I got sick and it slipped my mind," he answered.
Fiona sideyed him and he ignored her raised eyebrow and continued his explanation.
"During my time at dragon court, she was recently widowed and I mourned the loss of my wife. United in grief we bonded and things were great for a while but then it tapered off, Lady Margaret however never gave up hope that I would one day return to dragon court and marry her."
A very robust man came up to greet him, the horse sniffed him and recognized him and the man gave the horse a pat after taking an apple from his pocket to give to the demon.
"Meet Randolph, this is Gritzl's father we'll be staying with him and his family for the duration of our visit," said Tiamat introducing them, "Randolph this my wife Fiona."
