"What did you say?" inquired Fiona as she yawned, she was naked under the sheets and still felt sore from last night.
Tiamat straightened and she could tell he was about to pour on the charm starting with that irresistible smile of his where she rarely saw his two dimples.
"It's an invite from King Andrew and his lovely wife Queen Leona to join them for breakfast this morning. So what do you think about that?"
He drew himself up awaiting her answer with baited breath, that smile of his, stretched from mouth corner to corner.
On another person that grin would look silly but maybe she needed more rest because on Tiamat it looked adorable.
"When is it?" she asked sheepishly.
"Oh, only about an hour's time."
"Are you serious?" Lady Fiona sat up in bed to yell even louder at her husband. "By the saints Tiamat, you are going to drive me insane. How come I'm just hearing about this and why didn't you wake me earlier?"
