I have no idea the noisy hall has fallen into an impossible silence. At the sudden proclamation of this strange man before me… I raised my head.
It was a long line, just how tall is he? A mountain? His attire was expensive and the strong earthy scent that radiated off him filled my nose to the point all I could breathe in was it.
He was dressed in a black tailored suit and a jacket... but instead of actually wearing them he let them rest on his broad shoulders, they were so wide that it made me wonder how it feels to rest my hand on them. I noticed his cravat tie was the same as the Grandmaster but his were tailored perfectly, embodied with gold designs I couldn't make of. I followed the trail of his expensive outfit, his cufflinks, his white-gloved hands, and his walking stick that looked like it was made of gold. But those were a little of where it came from.
For when I got his face… I held my breath.
I couldn't see his face because there was a mask upon it, plain white and in an oval shape and flat and it made me wonder how he saw through them for there were no openings. His hair… Was it possible to have such hair? Was that color possible? Silver, long beautiful silver hair that reached his waist, let loose like a series of threads, it was so beautiful that it glowed in the lights. Such stunning hair... and it captured my attention mostly.
I was dumbfounded because I didn't know how long I was staring, I was certain he was looking at me too judging from the way his head was tilted down to my height. It was like a mountain of a man standing before me, the grandmaster couldn't reach such height, I have never seen a man as tall as this.
Is he an angel? Because he seems unordinary and out of this world… I have never encountered such a being before, something like this shouldn't exist or belong to this world.
"500 million" he repeated in that smooth luscious voice of his and a shiver ran through me but I couldn't take my gaze away from the mask even as the murmurs resumed like life was brought back to place.
"W-We have the highest!" the grandmaster announced, "Is there any more bidding?"
There was none, and no one called bidding again… that was when I knew he bought me for the highest prize.
"The Fairy is sold… to the Fox god!"
Fox god? Is that what he is?
"Your cash shall be given to you by my Butler" at his words I noticed from the corner of my eyes a man moved and opened a box.
"Why are you crying?"
His sudden question caught me off guard, I couldn't tell his reason or his expression, the mask hid everything. Even his voice was hard to capture the emotion, he just asked me a simple question... one I was too awestruck to answer. I just stood there gawking at him like a lost girl.
"Um my lord... this isn't how it works we have to conclude on everything in my office," the grandmaster said.
But his focus was on me I could tell, his hand moved and I found myself catching my breath. I thought he would touch me but rather he held my chain and his grip on it tightened. I could hear them squeezing on it because of his gloved hand. I feared it because I knew he would haul it and I was scared of the metal scratching my skin but instead...
"There is no use for this..." at his sharp calm words I felt the chain run cold that was when I drove my eyes to it, and I gasped because the black chains around my neck were frozen in ice... how did such a thing happen? Before I could register my thoughts they broke to pieces and the weight I have been carrying for a year was gone like a snap of a finger.
"You have no right to chain what belongs to me..." once again a short simple tone as he turned his head to face the grandmaster and the air suddenly grew chilly and it was harder for me to breathe. I found myself trembling at this man's presence because it seemed like his mere solitude would bring this hall down... I was thankful it wasn't directed at me but at the shaking man at the side like he has just experienced a tsunami.
"Your office it is," he said once again and then I heard a 'flap' sound. It was his jacket coming off, he tossed it at me and it fell on me like a blanket, covering me from head to toe, I was forced to move it away from blocking vision and setting my trembling gaze back on the man who just purchased me.
"O-Of course" the grandmaster intoned.
