As always, Emily did what she did best, and that was whenever Angelo left the house, she would go visit her son Gorgio at the hospital. Although her son's condition was gradually getting better, he still needed a kidney, and he needed one very fast.
While she arrived at her home, Emily could not help but feel as though something was wrong—it was strange. Immediately, her sixth sense indicated that there was an uneasy feeling in the air, and she could not quite explain it.
Upon walking into the house, Emily paused at the very entrance. The mansion had been suspiciously quiet, and all the lights were dimmed as well as the curtains shut, blocking out any form of light.
"Hello," she called out, but there was no one, and the only voice to greet her back was the echo of her own voice. She walked further into the house, her high heels clicking on the expensive Italian tiles, right up until she unlocked the door leading to the living room.
