The very next day
Emily wasted no time and woke up early in the morning before her son. Fortunately for her, Angelo had been out of the room, and Emily was informed by one of the housekeepers that he was having his tea in the garden.
This was the time to handle business—a very important business, that is. Her mother's betrayal had been too much for Emily, and even though her driver was going as fast as he could, Emily felt that the poor man was taking too long to arrive at their intended destination.
The very moment Emily arrived outside her mother's apartment, she jumped out of the car and stomped towards her mother's front door. Without knocking, Emily kicked the door open and began breathing heavily out of pure frustration.
