The mud market was very busy in the morning as it was when the ingredients were freshest.
Lin Ye wore tiny gumboots and she thumped her way deeper inside the market to sample more goods.
The vegetables were a vibrant green and the fishes were still moving around inside the make-shift tanks the sellers had displayed.
The air was also warm and the shopkeepers shouted at the top of their lungs to attract customers.
A fish seller screamed from the side, "Come and buy some fresh fish! If you buy five then I will give you one free..."
A vegetable seller shouted, "My vegetables are fresh off the farm. Come all and buy them at fair prices!"
The shouting is what made Lin Ye enjoy this market even more. Once in a while, some shopkeepers would fight with words and it was quite a scene to behold.
Lin Ye picked up the necessary ingredients she would use to make her parents some good food. Once done, she left the market and went to the car.
