Anna led Mo Xing to where her mother's grave was. It was a little far from the entrance and it was perched upon a small hill.
There had been light showers recently and the ground had turned into a beautiful green. The lush grass surrounded her mother's grave and some dried flowers could be seen on top. Some flowers had grown around the grave making it look beautiful.
Anna went over and pushed the dried ones away before plucking the new ones and placing them on top of the tombstone.
Mo Xing watched her silently but there was a small smile playing on his lips, a silent acknowledgment of the strength and grace she exhibited even in moments of vulnerability.
As Anna arranged the fresh flowers with delicate care, Mo Xing knelt down beside her, his hand resting gently on her back. The atmosphere was serene, the only sound being the soft rustle of leaves in the breeze and the distant chirping of birds.
