My entire body ached to take him as I felt him press against me.
I threw a hand back to hook around the back of his neck as he leaned over me, watching himself touch me, his voice growing ragged, his breath tearing out of his throat, his entire body shaking.
"Zara—"
"David, please—"
"Oh, god, Zara. I need you!"
"I'm here!"
His breath caught. He dropped his head to my shoulder as his cries grew harsher. The desperate sound of him stoked the fire rising again in me so that I stopped thinking about anything except the growing pressure, the rising tide that would lead me back to that peak. I clung to him, bracing against him, pressing into his touch. My body humming and singing as his fingers played against my skin and he threw his head back and called my name.
