Instead, he found an empty suit, the detritus of hurried packing and doors open from the sitting room into the Defender's alcove.
Neither of them were there.
He hurried back to my quarters where I sat with my head in my hands, Stark glowering at me. Erik tore through the room, hissing, "she's fucking gone—he's taken her!" as he ran through my rooms and out into the halls, to approach her as me, so I could order the guards to search when I "discovered" her disappearance.
