The doctor they brought for her was from our world. He was certain nothing was broken in her shoulder, but was far more focused on her head and the fact that she'd stayed unconscious for so long.

After the first hour she would seem to be coming out of it—moving, murmuring—but then sink back into a deep sleep, which he said was far more concerning than the bruises on her back and shoulder.

Since both the horses bolted, I'd had to physically carry her back to the estate which had taken almost half an hour. She'd been utterly still and silent that entire time, pale and lifeless. The only thing that gave me courage was that her pulse was steady, and there was no blood on either of her wounds.
