"I won't even know who you are, or that you're my Defender. I'll learn your name when Abigail says it. I won't remember any of this. Not even a little bit. The first time I arrived in Arinel it was… late tonight or early tomorrow. I already lived the next couple of months."
My mind was blown. She'd lived the next two months before she got to Kyrosia? I'd never heard anything like that.
Well, I'd heard rumors of time jumps, but I always assumed they went forward, not backwards.
Then it dawned on me. "This is how your Father and the Sorcerers prophecy," I breathed. "That's how they know what's going to happen. They have people go live it, then come back and tell them!"
