Like two people caught in the middle of a crime, their head shot towards the door, startled.
However, what happened next shocked Islinda because before the intruder could step in, Aldric was already standing at the far end of the room and she didn't even see him move.
"My lady- oh, my prince," The intruder turned out to be Aurelia and she was taken aback at the sight of Aldric in her room.
But that was not the end because with Aurelia was Rosalind and another Fae she hadn't cared to know her name. They were surprised too to see Aldric all alone in the room with her and Islinda watched as Rosalind's gaze assessed the situation with suspicion.
She couldn't blame the Fae anyway, had it been her she would think the same. While they didn't see Aldric in bed with her, the sexual tension in the air was thick and Islinda was still trying to compose herself.
"I know what you're thinking… " She began to explain, "But nothing happened, he was -"
