The scream was a precursor to the entire space station being thrown into chaos. I heard the sounds of blaster fire off in the distance as the crowds of different species started to be herded down the corridor.
"Toss!" shouted the Saalistaja, and before I could wonder what he was trying to say, I felt Midnight pick me up by my waist and toss me over the table and into the waiting arms of the other male.
"My furs!" I growled at the two men as Midnight quickly followed me.
"Forget the furs, Sweetheart," said Midnight as the Saalistaja continued to carry me toward the back of his stall. "I will get you more furs."
"I don't want more furs; I want those furs. And no fucking alien is going to stand between me and them," I spat as I pushed myself away from the Saalistaja. Not thinking about the consequences, I slipped between the arms of Midnight and bolted back out the way we came from.
