Gritting his teeth at how funny his plan was, he began the action.

This was the same tactic he used against the mutant hyenas, mutant bats, and mutant snakes he found in this cave the first time he came. He was hoping badly that the same tactic would work against the Spirit beast.
The scene was funny and ridiculous, as the hyena didn't budge despite Leon's efforts.
Its anger kept increasing as it detected familiar smells of his beloved hyenas emanating out of Leon. By now, it had identified Leon as the killer of its entire pack.
