Yang Lingyun couldn't believe what he was seeing. He twirled the glass of whiskey elegantly before sipping the bitter drink, letting the liquor burn his throat.

"Gu Sheng can you believe this?" he reclined back on the black leather sofa, relaxing his tired limbs.

The lights of the room had been switched off. The only source of light was the big led screen of the television.

Gu Sheng wiped his glasses and put them back on to see the beautiful girl on the T.V.

Xia Li Hua.

It was her debut stage. "Yes sir, it's her."

"No it can't be her!", Lingyun snapped back at his personal secretory, scaring the old man.

The poor man removed his glasses again, cleaned it with his handkerchief and wore them as if doing so would change the fact that the girl on the T.V was someone other than Xia Li Hua.

"Boss if my eye sight is alright then I can confirm that the girl is young madam Xia.", he said.

"Rubbish! You need to get your eye checked up. You must be blind as a bat. There's no way she could be Xia Lihua!" Yang Lingyun's hand clenched tightly around the whiskey glass causing the old man to worry that the glass might shatter into pieces.

As if to remove all their doubts the beautiful girl in her white dress spoke "Hello everyone, I'm Xia Lihua, my stage name is Lily. As my album is out now I hope you have heard it and enjoyed it." Then she fixed her mic and said, "So tonight the first song that I'll sing is Dawn Breaks."

The glass of whiskey dropped on the floor and broke into pieces. The thermal reading seemed to drop by several degrees in that dark room.

Did you have to leave me hurt?

Did you have to find someone else?

Thought I gave you my all

But it was never enough

Now I'm standing at the open flower field

I love the new me

No I won't think about you when the dawn breaks.

The room was filled with the captivating melody of the girl's sweet singing. She was definitely a genius prodigy when it came to singing. She looked at the camera and offered a radiant smile, stealing the hearts of the people in the crowd. Her appearance seemed almost angelic, as if she had descended from heaven itself. With her soulful voice and ethereal beauty, there was no doubt that she would quickly ascend to the ranks of A-list celebrities. Her potential for success and stardom was unmistakable, and it was only a matter of time before she became a widely acclaimed figure in the industry.

On the contrary to the girl's happy face, a certain someone's boss was in a fit of anger.

"Calm down master." Gu Sheng was in a panic and he quickly switched off the television.

"Calm down? She was missing for two years. We couldn't track her location, no news about her whereabouts as if she had disappeared from the face of earth and now she decided to show her face like this?" Lingyun couldn't help but snicker. "What a grand way to let everyone know that she is still alive."

"Master, let the past be in the past. She is no longer your fiancée." Gu Sheng gulped, worried that his boss's mood would worsen

"Hah, the nerve of this girl. So she went into hiding to pursue an idol career?" Lingyun's ashen face looked deadly as if he was about to snap someone's neck. If he wanted to do so, he could.

"Apparently. Looks like that young master." Gu Sheng bowed his head, shivering. He had been by Lingyun's side since he was a seven year old kid, training to take over Yang Corporation but his aura was powerful enough to even make people who knew him including his own parents cower in fear.

"Find out which company she is under and buy that company." There was a blizzard raging in his ink black eyes.

He couldn't believe what his master had just ordered him to do. "Boss what-"

"Did I stutter?"

"But why-"

"Because I want her to suffer."

Gu Sheng quickly straightened his wrinkled suit and hurried out of Lingyun's penthouse without posing any further questions. The fear of exacerbating Lingyun's already unsettled state prompted Gu Sheng to prioritize avoiding any actions that might incite further agitation. Agitating the demon king never had good results but he really pitied that Xia girl. She had successfully debuted on National T.V and now appeared to be in danger of his boss's wrath. He thought that his boss would be a big person for once and let go of his grudge that he held on her, but he was very wrong.
