His irises scanned the dimly lit room before shifting to the darkened window. The wall clock displayed 5 a.m. The sun had yet to rise, but he had a busy day ahead.
Gabriel then opened his bedroom window. The cool air gently blew, caressing his weary face.
As he was about to open another window, his bedroom door suddenly swung open, and Tristan rushed in, his face panicked. He clutched several sheets of paper that fluttered lightly in his hand.
"What's—" Gabriel began.
"You have to see this!" Tristan interjected, his voice shrill.
Gabriel furrowed his brow in confusion. "See what?"
"Unexpected news. You know, the 'favorite snack' right now boldly brought his sickly pale boyfriend in here," Tristan explained in one breath.
Gabriel paused for a moment, then widened his eyes in surprise.
"What?! Snack?! You mean Liz? What?" His hand swiftly grabbed the papers from Tristan.
