Suki felt something that he shouldn't have as a fox spirit. A headache.
It was a dull pain that originates from his temple and then spreads to the rest of his head. He tried to open his eyes but strangely, his eyelids felt as if they were made of lead.
'Just what the hell is going on?' he thought as he tried to spread his mana in order to feel out his surroundings and he was stunned upon realizing something.
The air is full of mana! Not to the level of the spirit realm but it's denser compared to the Earth!
As a fox spirit, he simply loves the feeling of getting surrounded by mana. It helps him relax and regain the energy that he lost.
Not wanting to waste this opportunity, Suki started absorbing it at a fast rate. The mana around him swirled and flowed in a stable state, giving him a very refreshing feeling.
'Now, I finally regained the mana that I consumed earlier!' he triumphantly thought.
Suki pushed his bad mood from being hit by a hideous man. How could he focus on such disgusting feeling when his surroundings is like festival for him?
Suki diligently absorbed the energy around hit to his spirit and to his body. He's like a sponge thrown into water, he boldly take it all.
Slowly, he could feel his body again. His senses that have been numbed for some reason returned and he could hear an intriguing commotion around him.
The sounds of scuffles echoed in his sharp hearing.
"Mr Yu, what are you doing? You're not allowed to enter the isolation room especially when patient Shen Yuan is synthesizing his power! This is the dangerous and crucial part of Mana Overload. Please do not disturb him."
"But Yuan…"
Suki marked the voices of these two men in his memory while he was doing his thing.
Synthesizing? Mana Overload? Shen Yuan?
All these things are vaguely familiar to him, albeit it's not something he experienced or encountered himself.
His natural inquisitiveness was triggered so listened some more which subsequently made his pace of absorbing the mana a little slower than before.
"What is happening here?" A masculine voice suddenly rang that put a stop to the ongoing commotion.
'What a handsome voice,' Suki thought honestly. There's something about this calm and cool that breathes power so it is understandable if everyone pauses their movements.
And they did.
The sound of movements stopped and the only thing that Suki could hear was a single footsteps that were approaching his direction.
"Master Bai!"
"Hunter Bai, thank god you finally arrived. Your husband is currently at the crossroads of life and death. It's either he will live and reawaken or die." The first man said.
"What do you want me to do?" The deep voice that's oozing with manliness asked, this time it was cold.
An awkward silence resumed until the first man once cleared his throat.
"Please make sure that no one would enter this isolation room as long as the mana hasn't settled down. All we could do is wait, Mana Overload isn't like wounds that could be treated by effort and treatment. Everything from here on out depends mainly on patient Shen Yuan."
"Please be the husband that protects his omega."
The man's displeased tone sounded, "You don't have to teach me that, I know how to keep my appearance as someone's husband."
Mr Handsome voice added. "After this, I will be taking Shen Yuan back to our home country."
"Master Bai! Yuan will surely not-"
Suki cut off his spying with a sour expression.
'It's getting too dramatic, so uninteresting.' the celestial fox spirit thought. If there is something that he got tired while living in the human realm, then it is the endless problem that they make for themselves.
Of course, it's a different thing if it's fictional. It is way more entertaining that the real ones. Stress-free.
'Well, forget it. I will just focus on hoarding all this energy!'
Suki resumed meditating and once again felt the abundant mana swirling around him like a puppy asking for his attention and this time he gave his 100% focus.
'There's a lot of delicious mana around. For sure my tails will become silky after this. Plus point for my beauty!'
At this point, Suki doesn't know anything about the problem he is about to face once he opens his eyes.
It is something that he would be thrilled and stressed at the same time.

Suki doesn't know how many minutes or even hours passed since he started absorbing the mana in the air.
It was simply too much considering that he even acted like a sponge that sucked up the mana easily.
Is today his lucky day? He couldn't help but think.
Suki started to feel his body again and slowly he opened his eyes.
What welcomed him was a "fancy" white room with a white ceiling. A hospital room.
Suki called it fancy since there are a few framed paintings hanging on the wall. He doesn't care about the artwork since he does know a thing about them. What caught his attention was the gold-rimmed frame that holds it.
His nine-to-five worker's ass couldn't help but feel offended. That must be expensive.
There are a few potted palms that embellished this room to make it look cozier.
Suki blinked his eye and raised his hand. It's a pale and thin human hand with a needle and tube attached to it. He followed the trail of the tube and saw that it was an IV fluid.
Did he unwittingly possess someone? Is the black hole that sucked him related to this?
The celestial fox spirit couldn't help but wonder.
Anyway, it's good for him since it saves him the trouble of looking around.
Looking for a compatible body that could handle his energy is as hard as looking for a man whose loyalty will last for three years in this forsaken world. Therefore, having a body ready for his use is absolutely a good thing.
The only thing that concerned Suki was how to properly integrate his soul with this body. Without it, he could only use a portion of his powers as a fox spirit and he couldn't access the memories of the owner of this body.
He needed human fluids to do it. May it be blood, saliva or the R-18 juice that people also referred as the baby batter.
"So you are finally awake now. Did you enjoy the sleep?" Suki widened his eyes. This is a familiar voice! Mr Handsome Voice!
A tall man who was dressed in a black suit suddenly stood up from the couch that he failed to see from Suki's angle.
The room is quite bright so he needed to squint a little to properly see the face.
Sleek dark hair that is neatly brushed up, revealing a pair of soul-piercing dark eyes each of them is blessed with perfectly shaped thick eyebrows.
An aristocratic nose with a flawlessly high nose bridge.
Suki couldn't help but feel a little insecure despite the pride of being the most beautiful celestial fox spirit. With that well-sculpted jaw that seemed to be personally carved by god, he could only say one thing.
This man right here must be the main lead if this is a novel. There's something about the man's aura that would pull you in or overpower you.
"I…" Suki is almost tongue-tied. "Who are you?"
The man clenched his jaw upon hearing this, "You do know what you're trying to imply when you asked that, right?"
Shocked by the sudden aggressive response, Suki instantly felt the anger coming from this man. No, anger is too weak of a word. Hostility is a more accurate term to use.
"What? I am just telling the truth. I don't know you at all. Instead of giving me those hateful eyes, shouldn't you introduce yourself to me since I asked for it?" although confused, Suki defended himself.
No way in hell will he take this offense lightly.
He didn't exist for hundreds of years just for nothing!
The man laughed dryly. "You're really good, Shen Yuan." Slowly, the man approached his bed.
Feeling threatened, Suki discreetly flexed his fingers, ready to scratch the handsome man just in case.
The sound of the man's expensive shoes echoed every step that he took. Suki doesn't know that he has been holding his breath for quite some time.
"What do you think you're doing?" The confused celestial fox spirit couldn't help but hitch his breath when suddenly the man sat on the side of his bed and leaned forward. Their faces are only inches apart.
Instinctively, he let his tense fingers relaxed.
Suki could smell the dizzying scent of lavender coming out from this man. He doesn't feel unpleasant because of it but instead, he felt a strong sense of attraction with it.
What is this? The Celestial Fox Spirit blurted out in his mind. He fought hard to regain his composure and moved to put some distance between them.
"Hey, how dare you invade my personal space! Back off!" He tried to push the man away but he couldn't do so since his hand movements were restricted by the needle.
It would be a hell of pain once he carelessly pushed this man away.
Suki unwittingly closed his eyes and after that, he heard the man say, "Dr Jean, your patient is already awake."
He opened his eyes and saw that the man was actually reaching for the intercom located above his head.
"And I might as well add. My "husband" is acting weird right now. He is asking for my name even though… " the man looked at Suki smugly and whispered. "He was moaning for my name multiple times."
Goosebumps broke in Suki's skin. Dumbfounded, he only looked at the courageous man with a gaping mouth.
Seeing the reaction from him, the other's expression turned frigid.
"Kindly go here as soon as possible and give me an explanation before I lose my patience with him." Only that and the man stood up and marched back to the couch.
Husband? Suki questioned what he heard for a moment. What kind of blunder is this?!
