Half a day passed once again. Just as Dwight was growing impatient, they were finally informed.
The two rushed to the luxurious conference room at the center of the city. Eight people were already seated, engaged in discussion. Despite the solemn expressions, there didn't appear to be much sense of urgency.
Shaun and Dwight casually took their seats, waiting for the others to arrive. The humans in the conference room all looked at Shaun with trepidation. Having a zombie sitting next to them was a constant source of discomfort.
Shaun hadn't expected to attend a human meeting, but Dwight didn't want him wandering freely in the base, as it could lead to unrest in a short amount of time.
This caused Shaun to shake his head inwardly. If he truly wanted to destroy the City of Hope, no one could stop him. However, the rewards wouldn't match the effort, so he had no interest in doing so.
