Nightfall came, and the dreaded medicinal bath that Black Jack feared the most came too.
Bai Jue had a huge wooden barrel prepared, into which all the medicinal herbs were put at once. The steam spread, filling the air with a faint herbal aroma.
Jian Luo sat shirtless in the barrel. The medicinal concoction spilled over, wetting the floor.
"Jian Luo, you must soak in this medicinal bath for at least one and a half hours. You can't quit halfway, or it will be in vain," Bai Jue advised.
"I understand." Jian Luo looked up at Grandpa Jian and the others and said, "Grandpa, you all should go out first."
He didn't want them to see him in pain.
Jian Qing glanced at Black Jack, placing his hand on Grandpa Jian's arm, "Grandpa, let's go."

Bai Jue walked last, he lightly patted Black Jack's shoulder before also leaving.
