"And?" Cyprian lifted her head up from the book to stare directly at Raymond.
"And I heard you say that uhm..." Raymond trailed off again, unable to complete his words.
Cyprian raised her brows at that, when it suddenly occured to her what Raymond might have heard.
"Was it when I said I love kids? You should know that was just a lie in order for me to get closer to Esther. Jeez...what were you thinking?" she said, a small smile on her lips as if she found Raymond's thoughts funny.
"Nothing at all. I was just wondering if...Don't bother. You don't have to worry about what I think at all. Just do your thing," he replied.
"If you say so then," Cyprian nodded and went back to what she was doing. After a few minutes of silence in the kitchen, she looked back up. "By the way, I should go home tomorrow. My brothers are worried, you know, and I've got to reassure them by letting them see my face once in a while."
