Liam's sword attacked the bird, and sparks appeared from the impact. Gritting his teeth, he slashed with all his might. Blood and some sort of body parts fell to the ground.
The bird cried out in pain. Liam took this chance to get past the creature, but after a couple of steps, he felt something biting his collar and throwing him back.
He flipped in the air and tumbled on the ground before he could stabilize himself.
