"And… I have received a letter from Lady Soliene. Do you remember her?" he nodded. His head slowly turned up to meet her eyes. She was staring at her own fingers intensely. "I have tasked her to keep an eye on Ellen. Recently she had heard a new rumor in the social class." Evan paused as she struggled for words.
God knew that she did not want to share it with Dami but at the same time she knew he would know about it sooner or later.
Dami worked separately and his estate was separated from the empire by thick woods but that did not mean they had been cut from the society. She could already imagine elders barging into his office to complain about his wife again.
