"Your grace. It is not what you are thinking." It took some time for the maid to return to her senses. She shook her head as looked worriedly at Eve.
She knew what had happened to Eve in her first marriage. Eve had hidden nothing from her staff. And she knew how it looked just like her first marriage. It was normal to have negative thoughts.
"But his grace would never do that to you. He deeply cared for the lady." she assured but Eve only glared at the woman.
"Forget it, I know where he is!" she whispered as she always started walking away. The maid panicked and she looked at the knights but they looked unsure too. His grace had commanded them to protect her and look after her. But they never commanded them to stop the lady from leaving the room.
And the woman looked furious. Her eyes were so cold that it reminded them of Damien when he was in rage.
