Before the viscount could finish speaking, Damien held the man by the collar of his shirt and pulled him up as if he weighed nothing. Then before he could refuse or shout, Damien jumped from the window as if he had wings.
"Ahhhhhhhhh" his shout was loud enough to wake up every single person in the palace. His wife was the first to curse and come looking for him. But she was stunned when the room was empty.
"Did you see the lord leaving the room?" but the knights guarding the room refused at once. They were as shocked as the lady. "Where did he disappear then?"
Grimoire had closed his eyes long ago. He did not want to die a gruesome death. But the death he was waiting for did not come. He felt the firm hands of the duke holding him like he was an object and after a few seconds, he felt solid ground beneath his feet.
