The two dogs woke up soon after that, and started making noises.
Taeyang went and threatened them before finally unlocking their chain.
I had asked him if he was alright with just letting them go like that and he had argued that he could just put his Beretta in their heads if he needed to.
It was a pretty good argument. So I just left the matter there.
After a hectic day, I agreed to just sleep over at Taeyang's place. He offered me his bed while he slept in his parents' room.

I woke up late, at around 11am. My whole body felt sore again.

I got out of bed and stretched.

Just then, I heard Lianne's pleasant voice.

"Oh, I had gone out for a walk. Has your mother gone to work again?"

I just did but I knew what she wanted to hear from me.
"No, I was just about to head to the convenience store", I lied.
"Then...do you want to have breakfast with me?"
'She wants you to taste her cooking. That's a certified wife, right there', Lianne mocked me.
"Sure Enna, let me just grab a few things before that."
I grabbed the items from my place and then walked with her to the dining room.
Sitting down like a Royal, I then waited for her as she cooked.
'This is pretty much how a married couple behaves', Lianne was in high spirits.
'Did your sarcasm circuit also receive an upgrade?'
'If anything, my sarcasm is far better than this fake husband role that you're playing.'

'Hmph!', Lianne still seemed to be grumbling.
Enna prepared omurice and pancakes for me.
I picked up my spoon and dug in.
"I'm sorry it must taste bad", she looked like a beaten puppy.
'Is she worried about the taste because the ingredients aren't fresh?'
'Her mother had called her a masterchef, this must be important to her.'
The omurice melted in my mouth giving a savoury taste that relieved me of all my stress.
"You must be joking. This is delicious!"

"Hehe... it's nothing really", she lowered her head and fidgeted her fingers.

'Isn't she supposed to marry someone else?', I asked.
'Marry someone who'll ruin her life? Yes.'
'Then wouldn't my presence be a thorn in her natural love, which means that the other guy would try to hunt me down?'

I finished my meal and got up.
I got close to her and planted my chin on top of her head.

I hugged her tightly and said, "Thank you for cooking this lovely meal, Enna."
She put her arms around me and hugged me back.
'You're such a playboy, Ray', Lianne said to me.
"I'll come back later tonight."
Her face was a tomato.
"Yes...take care."
I smiled and left.
'So when is the wedding?', Lianne just didn't stop.
'Shut up, rushing things isn't good. Besides, we have work to do.'
I started walking back to Taeyang's house.
'She looks like she's head over heels in love with you.'
'And whose fault do you think that is?'
'You can thank me later Ray.'
I kept walking and eventually Lianne spoke again.
'You should have hugged her with your face close to hers. She was trying to peck you, you know?'
'Are you sure, you aren't imagining that?'
'Ray, I'm a system. I don't imagine.'
