Blood splatter and steel clashing with bone resounded through the corridor. In contrast, Seth stepped back and watched Esmeralda fight against a room of his former employees.
'Her ability is rather impressive.'

"Eight."
Like a flowing river, the silver blade flicked through their flesh. She reaped the zombies without effort. Esmeralda's limit seemed to be eight times successively.
Two zombies charged forward, taking advantage of her momentary exhaustion, before Seth's heavy blade cut through the air with a low howl, tearing them into pieces with brute force.
"Careful, princess," Seth said, his voice charming and deep, yet Esmeralda ignored him. She took several deep breaths before grasping her sword once more.
Before Seth could react, her silver blade sliced past his cheek, her small nose snorting back with a smirk. "Who is a princess?"
