Sitting in the car, the journey home wasn't nearly as stressful as it was to arrive because most of the zombies seemed to have moved where that Overlord took them, making the journey very quick as the road home entered their eyes.
Anna was driving, with Seth in the passenger seat, his eyes lightly closed as he relaxed.
"I wonder how the base is doing..." Scott whispered, eating an apple while watching Marvin clean a small dagger with oil and a small cotton dabbing ball.
"Probably fine, don't worry," Seth replied with a sleepy voice; as Anna turned into the last stretch, the huge walls came into their sight without any fire, smoke or damage, allowing the group to feel relieved as they pulled into the common parking lot.
"Phew~ I am glad that we managed to arrive before nightfall. Let's go, Seth." Anna chirped, her tone was more friendly since they shared the night, but her brows furrowed with a slight grimace on her face as she climbed out of the car...
