Aliena bit her lower lips hard to the point that she felt blood in her mouth, she couldn't mutter a word, what would she even say? The fabrics were hard? Or the work was tedious? She couldn't even say any of those, because she was his personal maid to serve him without any complain.
Now she regretted it, she shouldn't have messed with his clothes, what was she thinking? Only God knew the number of punishments that awaited her, and how he found out about the wet clothes was still a mystery.
Prince Sebastian stood up and sauntered towards Aliena, she took multiple steps back causing her to hit the wall. Sebastian got to her and placed his two arms on both side of the wall, trapping her between him.
Aliena shivered slightly as she felt his breath on her face, they were so close. Her eyes travelled round the room, everywhere but him, she couldn't stand his gaze. Aliena's heart beat rapidly as she waited for him to punish her.
"Look at me," he commaded. Aliena looked up slowly, her eyes capturing his dark golden red eyes, a rare eye color for any vampire to possess, that held no emotion, his expression was as stoic as ever, "Just what should I do to you now, hmm?"
"I'm sorry milord" Aliena bowed her head and begged, "Please! I'm sorry, I promise not to pull that stupid act again, just have mercy on me."
Tears brewed in Aliena's eyes ready to burst out any moment but she did her best to hold it back in. Prince Sebastian raised her chin so she could stare into his intimidating eyes.
"Those clothes cost me a fortune and you just ruined it," he stated in a sad tone but his eyes said otherwise, they carried a glint of mischief in them, "Someone like you needs discipline, don't you think?" he asked and seeing her wide teary eyes made him chuckle.
"My Prince I'm sorry, I promise not to do such a thing again" she pleaded and looked to the floor.
"You haven't answered my question" he reminded.
Aliena looked at him confused trying to remember what he had asked, Prince Sebastian seeing how she stared confused without saying anything said,
"I hate repeating myself," his tone sounding annoyed, "I asked if I should discipline you?"
"Whatever you wish milord" Aliena gave a quick reply knowing fully well that the punishment which awaited her was inevitable.
"Alright then, how about I feed you to my wolves? They've been hungry for quite some weeks now, it would be really nice for you to be their meal." Sebastian suggested, a sinister smile played on his lips.
Wolves?! Just the mention of that made Aliena's heartbeat go haywire, the tears she had been holding back came down in full force, not wanting to be held back anymore. She collapsed on the floor and begged the Prince continuously, her body shaking frantically, she wasn't ready to die, yet alone by the hands of wolves. She had gotten herself into so much trouble.
"Begging now, aren't we?" he smiled seeing how she begged him like her life were in his hands, which it was, "I'm really sure you know how rabid those creatures are and a frail girl like you won't be able to stand their sight. It's so sad you have to end up like this" he taunted, his tone was serious but his lips held a trickster smile.
He made an attempt to step out of the chamber, acting like he was about to order the guards on a standby to drag her away when she did something he hadn't expected. Aliena not wanting to be devoured by his wolves had gotten up from the floor, attempting to beg him when she hugged him from behind.
Prince Sebastian stood transfixed as he heard the quiet sobs of his personal maid, her hands tightened around his waist, he could hear her begging him through muffled voice, begging him that she didn't want to die yet.
"Do you have a death wish?!," Sebastian tore her hand from his waist making her lose grip and fall to the ground, "Hugging a Prince without permission calls for another punishment, don't you think?" his eyes were seething with annoyance.
"I'm sorry" she whimpered.
Prince Sebastian stared down at her, she was bold enough to hug him, couldn't she sense his dark aura, this one here fascinated him.
"It seems you like inviting trouble from me," he said and bent to her, she shivered uncontrollably as he drew closer to her, her eyes laced with fear, "Don't be scared now darling. I'm not a bad person, your Prince isn't heartless" he said sardonically and wiped her tears with the back of his hands.
"So no punishments?" she inquired innocently.
"Silly thing," the Prince smiled, "Of course you'll be punished. During today's dinner you'll be serving everyone in the Palace along with the other maids. Easy task isn't it?" he asked only to get a nod from Aliena.
"So you're not going to feed me to your wolves?" she asked sheepishly.
"Should I?" he teased.
Seeing the fear return back to her eyes, he couldn't help but laugh, Aliena stared at him confused as to why he was laughing.
"It's a question that requires a yes or no darling"
"No milord" Aliena shook her head, the Prince hummed in response and left his chambers leaving Aliena still on the floor, she breathed a sigh of relief.
Aliena got up to leave his room when the head maid came in, she walked up to Aliena and ordered, "Follow me". Aliena bowed her head and trailed behind the head maid, they walked for minutes in silence before the head maid asked, "What kind of mistake did you make for the Prince to punish you hmm?"
"It was just a stupid mistake ma'am" Aliena answered.
"Just because you are stupid doesn't mean you should go around making stupid mistakes. The Prince doesn't like that, he's a man of perfection" the head maid stated rudely.
Aliena felt insulted or maybe she was insulted, how could the headmaid say she was stupid? She wanted to speak but she refrained as what she was about to say might come off as disrespectful.
"With all due respect ma'am, I won't make that mistake again"
"That's your concern" the headmaid eyed her, "After all it's not me that's going to get killed" she mumbled which Aliena failed to hear.
They got to a door and the headmaid faced Aliena and said, "You are going in there to serve with the other maids. Don't make mistakes or get into trouble or you won't be left off the hook by the high society. Your luck." She smirked and pushed the door open.
