Theoden Bathory immediately charged toward Shye again after activating two physique buff skills.
*PAH* *PAH* *BANG* *PAH* *BANG*
He attacked Shye with a combination of slashes, punches, and kicks. Shye was able to block most of the sword attacks but he was always struck by the sudden punches and kicks.
The crowd cheered as they watched Theoden slowly but surely win his captain vs captain matchup against Shye.
"Ahhkk…"
Shye was sent sliding back after another kick from Theoden.
"Yes…That's it…Just keep showing me all your skills and attack patterns…"
He inwardly smiled as he endured everything that Theoden threw at him.
By this time, Shye already knew that Theoden had at least three skills. Blink Strike, Enhance Arm Dexterity and Enhance Agility.
This is why he patiently endured all of Theoden's attacks while waiting for the buff skills to run out.
In contrast, Theoden happily beats up and humiliates Shye while assuming that Shye doesn't have any skills.
It was understandable for Theoden to think this way because everyone knew that Shye had a poor background.
Skill books are really expensive even for high-ranked adventurers so most of them only learn skills from either practicing a skill repeatedly or luckily obtaining a skill book from their adventures.
As for students, only students born with a silver spoon in their mouths can afford to have a skill while still in the academy.
And so, everyone believed that Shye was losing because he didn't have any skills.
Even Instructor Fienna looked at Shye with a bit of regret. If only he had skills, then he might be able to fight toe to toe with the top 3 students.
Unbeknownst to them, Shye also had skills. He was just waiting for the right moment to use it to catch Theoden Bathory off guard and defeat him.
"Hey, Hey! Shye Crowley! Is this what all the hype is about?! Huh?!"
Theoden Bathory mocked as he continued landing punches and kicks here and there.
"Tch…I have to finish this soon, my buff will run out soon…Well, no matter, at his current state, I can beat him up even without my buff!"
Theoden thought to himself.
Anthony and Shirley couldn't help but occasionally check Shye's battle and every time they turned their heads to look, their morale slowly got lower and lower.
Even Shye's other classmates slowly lost hope and started to lose their own battles.
Fortunately, Shye focused on training his vitality and stamina attributes.
After a few more minutes, Theoden's buffs finally ran out and after noticing that Theoden was still adjusting to his slower agility and dexterity, Shye's eyes widened.
"Chance!"
He gripped his wooden greatsword tight and activated [Dash Lv.1].
Upon activating [Dash Lv.1] Shye felt an explosive power in his legs.
His legs kicked up a huge amount of dust from the ground as he suddenly arrived in front of Theoden in just a single explosive step.
"Yo, do you think you're the only one with skills? Go to hell!!"
Shye loudly said with all of his pent-up anger. He then activated [Power Slash Lv.1] and swung his greatsword down with all of his strength.
Theoden's pupils constricted, he was shocked after Shye immediately appeared in front of him like a ghost.
He wasn't ready at all and he couldn't raise his sword up in time.
"CROWLEY!!"
*BANG*
Theoden couldn't do anything but shout as Shye's wooden greatsword landed cleanly on the area between his right shoulder and neck.
His eyes rolled up as he slowly fell down to the ground, unconscious.
Shye didn't relax after defeating Theoden. He immediately dashed towards Alexander and sent him flying with a single slash.
"Wipe them out!!"
He wanted to eliminate Theoden's class once and for all so he mercilessly ordered his classmates to wipe out Theoden's entire class.
In just a few seconds, Shye, Anthony, Shirley, and their classmates defeated every single student on the opposing side.
Everyone including the instructors, the fourth-year students, the students from other classes, and the students from other courses were stupefied.
Their brains still hadn't processed Theoden's defeat and in the blink of an eye, the whole class including Alexander Smith was defeated!

After a few seconds of stupefied silence, cheers erupted from the crowd.
"Holy Shit!! Shye Crowley turned everything around!"
"Damn! From now on I'm a Shye Crowley fan!"
Even Instructor Fienna couldn't believe the way Shye turned the battle around.
She thought that there was no way for him to win but who would've thought that he also had skills?
Although it was a bit suspicious how Shye managed to obtain skill books, she knew that everyone had their own secrets.
So instead of questioning him, she just happily watched her class walk down victoriously from the stage.
Meanwhile, the top-tier societies made up their mind to recruit Shye Crowley at all costs after seeing him patiently dismantle the 3rd-ranked student, Theoden Bathory.
Today, the name "Shye Crowley" reverberated in the whole academy after his miraculous comeback victory.
