Chapter 10 - CHAPTER 10

"Mommy is a little busy with some work. You need to go home. After the work, I will go back to be with you, is that alright?"

Arthur stuck his hands in his pockets, and his face was extremely serious. "Mommy, Aiden, and I are worried that you might be bullied. We are going to stay here and protect you!"

When Hazel heard this, she couldn't help smiling and said, "My dear, thank you, boys. But Mommy really needs to finish the meeting first!" she said. "You'll distract Mommy by staying here!"

"Well… sure, you go to the meeting first, Mommy, and we will wait for you here! I will take care of Aiden and not make any trouble!" Although Arthur was only five years old, he was unusually intelligent.

"Yeah, we're not going anywhere, Mommy!" agreed Aiden. He was a sharp–witted kid, very good at observing, and his character was completely different from his elder brother.

When the two kids were on their phones, they read a lot of posts online criticizing their mom.

That made them very worried. Hence, the kids specially came here to protect their Mommy. They wanted to know the evil people were bullying on their mother.

"No one bullies Mommy, Mommy is awesome!" Hazel said with a smile. She always tried to comfort her children, protecting them from any trauma.

Being a mother changed Hazel the most.

For the sake of her three children, she must be strong especially for Mia .

Tristan smiled gently and patted Hazel on the shoulder. "Don't worry, Hazel! I will stay here with Arthur and Aiden!"

"Oh… all right! Thank you so much!"

"You don't have to thank me at any time. Just go about your business! And if you need any help, just let me know!"

"Sure!"

With Tristan here, Hazel felt her back being guarded!

While hiding in the corner of the corridor to eavesdrop, Chase felt so uncomfortable, as if Hazel had cheated on him. It was so humiliating-

Hazel slept with him for three years without getting pregnant at all! Yet it seemed that right after he divorced her, she had two children.

What would the others think of him then? There might be a lot who were convinced by this that he, Chase Black, had a physical deformity or something

"Time's up!" said Chase sourly as he was striding over. "Are we having the meeting or not? This is a company, not a playground! If you'd rather be a housewife, go home with these boys!"

Then, with his long legs, he strode madly across Tristan and Hazel right between them.

Still, that was not enough to ease his anger inside. "Hazel Haynes, I will make you regret it! How dare you cheat on me! And the two bastards as well! I'll teach them a lesson". Chase thought furiously.

It was true that they had been divorced.

But the strong impulse of possessing Hazel again was driving him mad. He believed that Hazel was his private property.

Hazel was bumped by Chase, and because of her high heels, Hazel almost fell.

Tristan reached out in a hurry and held her in his arms.

That irritated Chase even more.

How dare they play a sweet, lovely couple in front of him?

Very well then!

He was gonna fuck them all!

"Are you okay, Hazel?"

"Mommy! Are you okay?" Both Arthur and Aiden ran to her at once.

Aiden, as a thoughtful, sweet boy, actually squatted down and massaged Hazel's ankles with his chubby little hands.

Hazel smiled and said, "Don't worry, I'm fine."

"How about your ankle?" Tristan grabbed Hazel by Hazel's waist and bent över to check on her ankle with concern!

"It's okay." Hazel stood up and gave Chase a disgusted look.

"What are you looking at? Come on in for the meeting! My time is precious, and I don't want it to be wasted any longer!"

That, however, infuriated Arthur at once. "Stop right there!" the little boy shouted rather adorably.

Chase raised his eyebrows in surprise and looked down at the little one across from him.

Arthur cocked his head and pointed angrily at Chase's face. "Yes, you! You gotta apologize to my Mommy!"

Chase sneered with disdain.

No one in the city would dare even to speak to him like that!

However, it was still a kid after all. So Chase merely snorted impatiently.

"You're a bad guy! And I won't let go of bad guys who bully my Mommy!" Arthur's face turned red with fury as he seized Chase's trousers.

"Get your hands off of me, you little shit!"

"I am no shit! You are shit! You are a piece of big shit!"

Chase's face darkened. "Hazel, get some control over your son! I won't blame kids for being rude, but if their parents don't know any better, I won't hold back!"

Hastily, Hazel caught Arthur in her arms and said, "Arthur, listen to Mommy. Mommy's fine. Go back with Aiden."

"Let's go, Arthur. We can't bother Mommy right now! Let's go back to the hotel first!" whispered Aiden after pulling his brother over.

Finally, Arthur calmed down a little, and he shouted at Chase, "This is not the end, you bad, bad man!" Then he turned to Hazel. "Bye, Mommy, we are going back."

"Yeah, be careful."

Tristan said, "I'll drive them back first. Call me if you need anything."

Hazel nodded. "I will. Thank you, Tristan."

"Arthur, Aiden, let's go! Say goodbye to Mummy."

"Bye, Mommy."

"Bye, boys."

Tristan smiled. Hands in hands, the three of them headed for the elevator.

"Let's get back to the meeting!"

Chase got back into the conference room, and Hazel followed him in.

"Now, have you thought it over? Are you ready to sign this agreement?"
