Chapter 20 - Madam Poli

"I'm…" Ana didn't know what he should say.

He would never tell Eva that he was possessing a cute looking girl just by chance, or that he was sent here to this dating world to seduce girls, but he also couldn't come up with something plausible, partly due to the shock of being caught in this abhorrent body and also partly due to Eva's scary eyes.

"You are not a student of this academy." Eva hinted about Ana's informal luxurious clothes. "So, who are you?" She pushed her weapon and grazed Ana's neck, but it really didn't cut anything since Ana's current form was too powerful, however, Eva didn't know that, she couldn't sense Ana's mana at all.

The first thing to build trust when someone asks who you are, is to say your name with confidence, and that's why Ana said his name.

"K-karenin-" He really didn't know any good female names due to his insecurities about his own name, which prevented him from ever allocating memory space for that, but regardless, he tried to remember any name that went well with 'Ana', but the problem was, none of them were proper female names.

"You don't smell so pure either." Eva sniffed Ana's bloody clothes, as her eyes became more unforgivable every second. "..."

It seemed like Eva figured out something since she started to stare at Ana a little differently after smelling him.

"It looks like there is no need for you to live, since you cannot even say your name." Eva was ready to kill Ana now.

A sense of complete emptiness spread like electricity inside Ana from Eva's harsh words which made Ana remember his own death, the thoughts and conversation before killing himself..

'Hehe, well Ana is a great name.'

'I'm sorry. My mood is kind of itchy right now.'

'Hey, that's mean.'

'Does it mean pain and suffering while being stuck on a rooftop with a monkey?'

'Do you know what Reina means?'

Having waited enough, Eva decided to end Ana's life fully, so she withdrew her hand and her weapon along with it, and just as she was about to shove it back into Ana's neck…

"My name is Reina." Ana answered her.

Eva's red eyes widened when she heard Ana answer, that came with confidence, making her falter in her decision to kill Ana, or in her eyes, this girl infront of her, who was much shorter than her.

"Really?" But Eva wasn't a fool. "What does your name mean then?" She didn't drop her guard just because she heard the name of the Empress.

"It means Queen." Ana straightened his body and spoke like a real Queen. "Reina means Queen."

Eva glared at Ana for a few seconds, not saying anything, only trying to figure out what deception Ana was trying to play.

Ana, on the other hand, thought that the hot waters in Eva's aggression were slowly ebbing, so he continued with his lying.

"My name is Reina." Ana put his beautiful hand on his chest, his flat chest on his supreme body. "And these men were trying to attack a student so I interfered and fought them off."

If somebody else saw Ana's acting, they'd be fooled in a jiffy but… Eva was different.

"Is that so?" Eva thrusted her epee and stopped it just before Ana's eyes. "Then explain why you're here, so late at night."

Eva was saying that Ana wasn't a student, and Ana also knew that Eva wasn't the kind to not remember a student's face, but it wasn't a problem for Ana, because he was a perfect excuse lord.

"Actually, I dropped by to meet one of my friends-"

Tiiing

Eva's epee, in the matter of milliseconds, destroyed the wall beside them, making a gigantic opening in it.

"Friend, you say?" Eva's weapon, which to a normal person hadn't even moved from its original spot, came closer to Ana's cornea. "Just a friend, or more than that?"

"What…" Ana was confused. "...do you mean…?"

Eva smiled at Ana, a smile Ana had not seen even after he slept and took Eva's purity, a dangerous smile that softly hinted death at the slightest mistake.

"I…" Ana tried to understand what Eva was thinking.

"What is your relationship with him?" Eva kept her weapon pointed, and smiled maturely with her now 'glowing' red eyes.

Ana wracked his brain to understand what Eva was thinking but he just couldn't figure out who this 'him' was, afterall, he failed to consider himself in his excessive mental calculations, but still he tried and answered, the best he could.

"I-I'm his Matriarch?"

Yeah, Ana had no idea what else to say. He could have said sister, but ask any man, and see if he would opt to be the sister of an unknown guy.

"..."

Eva contemplated Ana's excuse for ten seconds and then put back her weapon on her waist, the epee magically disappearing as soon as she did.

"You do not study here, do you?" Eva turned around from Ana.

"Uh…yes, that is correct…" Ana, thinking he was safe now, began to become mellow with the sight of Eva's sexy back and her long green hair.

He wanted to sigh in relief but he decided not to, since he'd learnt that Eva's senses were very sharp, however that did not prevent him from ogling his girlfriend's jiggly bum.

"Very well, you'll be studying here from today." Eva started to walk away.

"Huh?" Ana was startled at Eva's sudden declaration.

"I said." Eva turned her head back and looked at Ana with contempt, her deadly red eyes full of hatred. "You will be studying under me."

Ana was dumbfounded, he couldn't believe what was happening to him, so he chased after Eva.

"Wait, Eva…"

Eva, like a seasoned warrior, summoned her epee again and with invisible speed, turned around and pointed it again at Ana, this time, towards Ana's mouth.

"My name is Madam Poli." She poked Ana's upper lip with rage. "And you will address me accordingly."

"!!" Ana stepped back a little, understanding that Eva didn't want him to come close to her, but since he still wanted to talk to Eva a little, his heart longing for her caring touch, he tried to cool the angry fire in Eva's eyes by distracting her. "Uh, yes… Madam Poli… I just…"

Ana tried to see how far Eva would be willing to talk to him, in this body of his, so he initiated a topic that would guarantee a long conversation.

"I just wanted to know…" Ana looked towards the dead men lying in the alley. "Who these guys were…and what do you…intend to do with them… "

Eva too followed Ana's eyes and looked towards them, but she answered Ana indifferently.

"They look like common people who have died of natural causes. What about them?" Eva scowled at Ana.

Ana was taken aback by Eva's indifference but he didn't let it show.

"Ah, nothing!" Ana shook his cute little hands. "You're right, Madam Poli, they died of natural causes!-"

Eva didn't wait for Ana to finish, instead turning around again, ready to leave when her smartwatch rang.

"Madam Poli, a student has died inside the gymnasium, we require you to-" A female teacher's voice came when Eva received the call.

"Take care of it by yourself, Madam Angeline." Eva straightened her back, her green hair fluttering with the warm night breeze, and she started to walk away. "I have something else to take care of."

She ended the call swiftly, and left the alley, but not before stopping Ana, who was planning to escape, by coldly uttering to him, without even looking at him.

"Follow me."
