Synopsis

MY CO-WORKER'S STORY BEGINS

Hey, you there—yeah, you. You seem new here. I guess it's your first time.

If so, I suppose you have some time to spare. I want to tell you something about my friend over there, you know, that hooded skeleton with a halo atop its head. Yeah, the one with the long scythe.

Get comfortable; this is going to take a while.

Have you ever wondered why there are so many ways of dying?

Some painful and gruesome, while others are mild and painless. Some are ridiculous, while others are majestic. Some are deserving, while others are accidental. You name them.

Imagine waking up the next day, and your neighbor is gone. How did he die?

- "He fell down the stairs."

- "He choked on his meatball."

- "Nothing was wrong with him yesterday."

- "He was stabbed to death."

- "He died trying to save a cat."

- "He drowned in the tub."

- "..."

So many ways of dying, so many paths to nothingness. But when you talk about life, you don't ask how she was born. Because we all know it was through the Pu... Excuse me for my vulgar language, We all know it was through birth for humans, dwarfs, elves, and even demons. Through the tree of life for spirits, including those self-glorifying angels. Some beasts may lay eggs, but it's all basically birth.

We also have those alchemists who attempt to create life, but it's unorthodox, and thus, I don't accept it.

Let's forget those vermin for now... Life, unlike death, has a fixed way of happening but death does not.

Have you ever wondered why it is so? If you have, I have your answer. If not, I will share it anyway.

Unlike me, Life , the God of Death commands a legion of minions who harvest the souls of the departed.

The timing of one's demise is arbitrary; anywhere is fair game. However, these minions, each with their quirks and personalities, have their own way of carrying out their assigned roles.

Some will make sure you have settled everything you need to with your loved ones before taking you away.

Others will make you die while choking on your own saliva for their sick entertainment, while others, the psychopaths, would let you experience torment before taking you with them.

There are also the clumsy ones who would cause a lot of people to die just to get to you. There are a lot of them, creating the diverse nature of death.

Their supervisor, the God of Death, could intervene, but he refrains from doing so. As long as the target's soul reaches his realm, acquiring more souls due to his minions' quirks benefits him, as it means more souls in his realm.

I've never liked the previous God's of Death but for this one, I like him as he is not like the previous Gods of death.

After I finish telling you his story I think I will ask him out on a date

He, unlike the rest, ensures that one's passing is done in a proper way. So, if someone departs peacefully, don't forget to thank him.

Now, for a name, right? I know him as Death.

Hey, Death, what was your name before you took on the mantle of the God of death?"

Ossa?! I guess he went by the name Ossa. As you will one day face your end, I'd like you to know how Ossa transformed from a mere skeleton soldier to the God of Death.

His life story might entertain you and, who knows, you might even learn a thing or two from it."

Ok enough with the chit chat let me tell you his story before, you go your way.
